Tennis Comp is a mixed COMP for tennis players aged over 18 of all standards. Players are graded on registration and placed in a division of equal ability. You can move up the divisions by finishing in the top 2 spots.
There are a max of 8 players in a COMP. Finals are played over weeks 8 & 9.
Points are awarded for the following:
To book a match use the booking page to challenge your opponent. The first player to make contact is the HOME player who has first preference on the location of the match. The location must be in the comps area.
A walkover can be awarded for the following reasons:
Walkovers should be used as a last resort and all efforts to play should be made even if you have to play later on.
A walkover is a ‘score’ and must be entered by the winning player. Entered before the deadline and you get the on-time bonus point. If not a void match will be recorded.
Any player who has not responded to, or tried to contact an opponent will be deemed in-active and replaced with a reserve player. This will happen at the start of Week 3 unless the player has informed TennisComp prior that they will be inactive during the first two weeks.
If a Comp has started new players will have to wait for the next one to start. Unless they want to play reserve and replace any player who is inactive or has to drop out due to injury.
Players must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike way both on and off the court. This includes:
Please report any incidents of unsportsmanlike conduct to the Tennis Comp umpire who will issue warnings, persistent offenders, or any player using or threatening physical abuse including swearing will be removed from the current round immediately with no warnings given.
